About Oxfordshire
Family Foodies
Hey, and welcome to Oxfordshire Family Foodies!

I’m Sam, 34-year-old mum who loves food. I've been married for over 6 years and, luckily for me, my husband is a big foodie too. We have two little children, aged 4 and 1. And while I have tried to encourage my kids to love food as much as me, sometimes it can still be a daily struggle.
We live in South Oxfordshire which is surrounded by the most beautiful countryside as well as many wonderful restaurants and pubs suitable for all the family. We moved to South Oxfordshire almost 3 years ago and we love exploring what the county has to offer.
As a family, we’re always on the hunt for places that happily welcomes kids, celebrates the fine produce this county has to offer, and more importantly to eat fantastic food.

That’s how this blog was born. Oxfordshire Family Foodies is for those families who want great food and want to uncover a few hidden gems but also need some questions answered that google doesn’t always have the answer for – is there a great kid’s menu? Do they have highchairs? And can the kids be a little bit messy or noisy?

On this blog, you’ll find:
-
Family-Friendly Restaurant Reviews: From highchairs to kids’ menus, we test the essentials, so you don’t have to.
-
Date Night Spots: Because parents deserve great food and quality time away from the kids!
-
Fast Food & Takeaways: Whether it’s a quick bite or a Friday-night treat, we’ve got you covered.
-
Local Produce & Events: From markets to food festivals, we love exploring what Oxfordshire has to offer.
I believe eating out shouldn’t be a hassle, whether you’re juggling kids, planning a date, or just looking for the perfect meal. Through our experiences, I hope to inspire you to discover new places, support local food businesses, and make every meal an adventure.
